Growing up in Hawaii was one of the best childhoods anyone could ask for. Surfing warm blue big waves with your family was a dream come true for me. People ask me why I left paradise. I just simply tell them, you got to follow your dreams, wherever they may be. I am actor in Hollywood, I get my creativity from my father who is an artist of carpentry. Acting is my big passion. I’ve been through some really harsh times in my life. When my parents got divorced it was an ugly scene. I got kicked out of school in Hawaii; I was a really depressed and an angry little punk. At the time I didn’t know that this would be a blessing more then a curse. As an actor its easier to go “there” knowing exactly how I felt and what caused my actions, my motivation or message that I am projecting.

I can surf with the top. I am a champion bodysurfer and all round excellent waterman. The ocean is my home, I have moved far away from my little grass shack to follow my dreams. The first and biggest medal I got was when I was three years old. It was a running race for a hundred yards. My dad took me to the course and walked it through with me. The hundred yards were done about fifteen yards from the fence but my dad had told me the first one to touch the fence wins. Its race day and all the little three year old are lined up and ready, dad’s eagerly waiting behind. We all run as fast as we can but they all start to slow down before the finish line. I pulled ahead and took the lead didn’t stop until I hit the fence, and won first place. I like to tell that story because that race was won by father and son working together with the weight carried equally on each of our shoulders. Which is exactly how it is today.

Through high school I worked as a surf instructor in Waikiki. There I learned about how different characters deal with a whole variety of emotions like fear, excitement and embarrassment. Working in the tourist business really was the best thing an actor could ask for. Everyday I went to work a whole new cast would show up. It was like everyday was a new exciting season for me. Everyday was a new struggle and a new adventure. Acting is an adventure. When you are completely engaged with another character you don’t know how you will say your lines only the point you are trying to get across. That’s the beauty of acting. When you act you are creating a moving picture with every particle of your body

As a starter on my water polo team, we were the best team in twenty years, we went to the championship game were it came down to the wire, where we lost in overtime. My next sport would be swimming or basketball. Since I thought swimming was more boring then watching a game of chess I played ball for all four years of my high school on the varsity team. I got my black bet in Tae Kwon do when I was eleven and won four gold aloha state games medals for sparing and forms. I was the state champion archer for two years back to back. Skin diving was another favorite of mine. Being another fish in the ocean is a feeling like no other. When I was little I was doing it all, baseball, basketball, archery, soccer and bmx racing and best of all school. when my dad first took me to Tae kwon do the head of the school said I was much too young at four years old. He finally agreed to let me stay and watch on the sideline. I watched and mirrored what went on in the class for weeks until my sensei said I could join his school. I was determined from day one.

I went to my first acting school in the summer of my first year of being in California. I was just doing it because I had always had an interest in acting and I wanted to see if I was really into it. After my first month of training I was hooked just like the first time I fell in love with surfing. Its freedom, you leave yourself behind and create a whole new world. The feeling you get after a performance is much like that runner’s natural high. Acting makes me feel incredible, ear to ear smile, weight lifted from your shoulders and just glowing with excitement. Acting s my greatest passion. I am a hard worker and will do whatever I need to create beautiful art. Like I said, I am determined from day one.
